Klaipėda children’s leisure center was founded on 1 September 2009, this is informal children’s education school.

The school goal is to ensure availability of high quality educational services for children.

Klaipėda children’s leisure center consists of six integrated structural divisions: Club “Draugystė” (“Friendship”), “Liepsnelė (“Flame”), “Saulutė” (“Sunny”), “Švyturys” (“Beacon”), Zelmenėlis (“Sprout”), “Žuvėdra” (“Seagull”).

The children’s leisure center implements 59 informal educational  programs for children which work on the principles of informal education. About 1300 children participate in these programs. The children are encouraged to revel, to be their own selves, to communicate and improve.

A team of talented, modern, young, creative teachers works in the center. Klaipėda children’s leisure center organizes various events, projects, festivals and competitions. During summer holidays clubs of the Klaipėda children’s leisure center prepare impressive and joyful daytime camp programs.

Members of circles and studios of the Klaipėda children\s leisure center represent it at the city, republican, foreign competitions and festivals.
